Record breaking scholarship success

Scholarship and GCSE success are cherry on top of 16/17 year

This year was a record breaking year for scholarships at Brambletye in all areas of study. Combined with a 100% Common Entrance pass rate, 40% of pupils leaving Brambletye went with a scholarship to the senior school of their choice. A fantastic achievement for the puils as will as an all time record for the school.

The scholarships spanned 6 different disciplines including 13 from the art department, 3 music and 3 academic. These include amazing acheivements such as the first ever football scholarship for a girl to Ardingly college, awarded to Giulia Barbini, and the first ever person to be awarded 6 different scholarships, Savannah Gemmell.

Headmaster Will Brooks is delighted at this success and said that ‘we’ve emphatically set the bar high for next year. This is testament to all the hard work both staff and pupils put in at Brambletye, and it’s great when the results show in such a concrete way’.
